Clan Sas

Clan Sas is a group of men who ban together to help each other. Usually outcasts or mis-fits, they all have knowledge in witchery for poisons and potions and are usually either vampires or shapeshifters or sometimes both.
As the head of the Clan, all prospective members have to go through and get Jayden’s approval before being an official member. Once approved, members receive rings and the Clan mark. To celebrate new members, all of the Clan is requested to come to wherever Jayden and the new member is for a party.
Being so spread out is very helpful for the Clan members. There is at least one member in every state; none out of the country yet, but Jayden considers this a good thing. For traveling members, there is always an open house along the road, for Clan members are required to respect and treat each other with courtesy.
As a general rule, Clan members are more often than not referred to by their last name. This limits the chance bad things could come upon a member by knowing a full name, and plus, it's easier and it's just a guy thing. They are registered by Jayden by first and last name, even with a middle name included, by spoken to and of by last name alone unless the situation calls for both.
Twice a year, Jayden will call a Clan meeting in which all Clan members are required to come, whereas the initiation parties are voluntary. During this time, the members will discuss new ideas and theories, exchange recipies, and generally have a good time.
Clan Sas is loosely recognized by the Night World Council; the Council knows they exist but doesn’t do anything with them. Humans, of course, don’t know anything about them except not to cross them. Other Night Worlders might have heard of them in passing, but being who they are, members typically stick to themselves and each other. Though not the friendliest bunch to outsiders, they are fiercely loyal and protective to each other.
Women are not allowed to be official members of Clan Sas, basically because it’s a man’s environment and doesn’t need a woman’s frilliness to interfere. Members are welcome to have fun with women, even have girlfriends, but if he got married or found his soulmate, his membership would be in question.
