Personality: A firm hand tempered with fairness, Ethan has always been the kind of man people could look up to. He's an adoring husband, a doting father, and a patient vice principal that believes every student in the school can meet their potential. Protective of his family, only mildly possessive of his wife, he believes in equality and fair treatment for everyone. In general a mild-mannered man, let it not be said he can't get the results he wants through determination and a clear intelligence.

Apperanace: Lean and strong, with broad shoulders meant to take heavy loads. Long legs and capable hands. Nicely tanned skin covers corded muscles, in turn covered by perfectly pressed slacks and suits. Ethan has slashing green eyes and light brown hair he wears to the nape of his neck, as neatly trimmed as the beard and moustache on his face. Standing a few inches above six foot, he can strike an imposing figure, but his curiously sensual mouth can usually be seen with a smile in place. Laugh lines crinkle beside his eyes and his deep voice can be heard laughing from inside his office. In his spare time, he can often be seen wearing one hat or another.

Strengths: Married to a witch for so long, Ethan has the undeniable advantage over other humans by actually being informed of the Night World. He's learned all there is about the different species to better his chances of taking charge of them in the school. He's also widely read in general about the world and is very intelligent and articulate, making him a remarkably powerful public speaker.

Weaknesses: In the end, Ethan is in fact just human, with all of their weakness and foibles. While generally a clear-headed individual, he can get jealous of his wife and almost overbearingly protective of his children. He has troubles sometimes separating work from home and, perhaps most embarrassingly, he's allergic to pepper and bees.

History: Born to a small but loving family, Ethan had a happy childhood. Sheltered in their little island, he didn't much notice the difference of most of their neighbors, and when the time came, he was eager and willing to head to Ashwood Academy. Especially since it was there he met his future wife, the alluring and gorgeous Anna Winterhaven. Life just wasn't the same after that, and he stayed by her through high school and college and beyond that. They had several children together and he's strived to give them all a childhood as happy as his own.

After so many years, it came as no surprise when Ethan began picking up little things about his wife. The picture refused to come together though, until Anna finally admitted the truth about herself and the Night World as a whole. With that knowledge in mind, and his own passion for teaching, he returned to Ashwood Academy and set up there. He loved the atmosphere and students and the whole island, wanting to make more of a difference, so when an opportunity came open in the administration office, he jumped on it. And has never regretted that decision.
